On February 5, we learned from the State Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that, with the approval of the State Council, the adjusted List of Wildlife under National Key Protection (hereinafter referred to as the List) was officially released to the public.
It can be seen from the "List" that about 500 kinds of corals such as stony corals in my country have been included in the national second-level protected wild animals. Relevant departments will protect coral populations in accordance with laws and regulations, which will give strong support to coral protection work.
Next, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will effectively carry out the implementation work after the adjustment of the "List" in accordance with laws and regulations: further strengthen protection, and implement local governments in accordance with the natural distribution areas of species listed in the "List". Responsible for ensuring the safety of their populations and habitats, and strictly preventing indiscriminate hunting of wild animals and destruction of habitats; strict law enforcement and supervision, crack down on illegal and criminal acts, and resolutely prohibit overeating and illegal trading of wild animals; make adjustments to the "List" The transition and connection work of relevant species shall be regulated in accordance with the law, and activities such as hunting, artificial breeding, sale, purchase and utilization shall be regulated; Raise the public's scientific understanding of the national key protected wildlife, mobilize the public to consciously resist illegal acts, support the protection work, and form a good situation for joint protection.
