The breeze is refreshing, the water is clear and the blue sky is clear, and the small seedlings of coral are faintly visible in the clear water. This is the fruitful result of the cultivation plan of our institute this year. With the Phoenix Island Experimental Base as a platform, we have artificially cultivated about 150,000 corals through unremitting efforts. These corals are mainly dominated by staghorn corals.

The cultivation of coral seedlings has always been an important subject of our institute. Over the years, our institute has been carrying out the work of coral cultivation based on the principles of science and technology as the root, demand-oriented, realistic and innovative, and focusing on the future. Adopt advanced cultivation technology to cultivate tens of thousands of corals successively.

In the future, we will firmly continue to take the road of cultivating coral through science and technology. Efforts to explore and practice the Million Coral Project, Coral Seed Bank and Species Improvement, South China Sea Ecological Restoration and Artificial Fishing Reef, Marine Intelligent Equipment and Active Substance Research and Development, etc., in order to rebuild damaged corals and enrich marine life, Make unremitting efforts to protect the marine ecological environment.
